Can't believe Carrys is now seven months!!! She is sitting like a champ and already lunging forward to her knees trying to go somewhere. She has grown up instantly it seems and is our easy-going one for now at least. We get comments all the time on how easy she is and how content she is, especially from the sweet ladies in the nursery at church. She loves to get attention and just a smile her way excites her to no end, guess that's the third child for you!!! She loves to be entertained and really doesn't know what to do without lots of excitement and activity going on around her. She is very BUSY...I'm sure the next few months will be full of fun. Can't wait!!!

Back to School
Colten had a great first week of the 1st grade, so hard to believe it's already been a year since he started Kinder!!! He has really been looking forward to this year and making new friends. He definitely was worn out by the end of the week and not as "pumped" to go Thursday and Friday morning. He has a wonderful teacher this year and several kiddos from last year in his class. He's already decided that 1st grade is MUCH harder than Kindergarten, but the day goes by MUCH faster because there's no rest time (which he was VERY against last year)!!! We're looking forward to another great school year!!!
ready to go at breakfast

Summer b-ball
Colten had a great time playing basketball this summer. He did excellent and really progressed during these six weeks. Caleb really enjoyed coaching Colten's team, the "Spurs" and did a fantastic job with them...their record was 5-1. Colten really got the hang of defense and in the last two games scored 6 and 2 points, he was thrilled. He seems to love the competition and the game in and of itself, no doubt after seeing his daddy's love of the game!!! Way to go Spurs!!!

Port A 2011
Port Aransas was this year's location for our annual "family trip" with my parents and sister's family. It was really a great time, despite the heat once again. We stayed in a fabulous BIG house which gave everyone plenty of room to spread out and plenty of room for the kiddos to play. The setup was perfect with a "kids room" complete with bunk beds for all. We spent time at the beach and pool (which was right outside our house). We also ate lots of great food, grilled out, shopped for souvenirs, laughed with one another, played games, and just spent time together and relaxed. It went by way to fast for sure!!! I even had an hour to lay out ALL BY MYSELF one morning while Carrrys napped and the big kiddos headed to the beach!!! Thanks Mom and Dad for another wonderful vacation and lots of memories made...it is always a highlight of the summer.
