Happy Birthday Carrys!!!

Carrys turned ONE on January 27th and I just still cannot believe it!!! Where did our newborn baby go? It honestly seems like just yesterday we brought her home and went through those sleepless nights and overwhelming first few weeks. Maybe it's the third child, but this past year has gone by in a hurry. This past year has been a whirlwind for us and Carrys has managed it with ease and ALWAYS with a smile, her demeanor never ceases to amaze me!!! She is one of the most laid back, content, personable babies I have ever been around. She loves everyone and brightens our days with her sweet sweet smile and spirit. She is named after my father's mother, Faye (my Mimi) and I see so much of that sweet spirit my Mimi exemplified in Carrys. It fills my heart with joy!!!

A few things going on now...Carrys still only has two teeth. She is on the verge of taking off and walking, she's managed a few unassisted steps. She loves to feed herself, anything and everything. So far she's been pretty good about trying new things and seems to have several favorites. She loves drinking from a sippy cup, so no bottle transition problems...love that!!! Most of the time she takes two naps still and is overall a good sleeper (although she's shared a room with at least one person in our family most of her first year). She loves people and being entertained, she definitely wants to be where everyone is!!! At her one year check-up she weighed 21.5 lbs and was 28.5 in long, the 50th percentile for both. She's awesome!!!

We celebrated with a small family party the weekend before her birthday...she had a GREAT time!!!
