Ready, set, summer!!!

Boy are we glad it's here!!! Hang on for this one...we have LOTS of catching up to do. May was jam-packed with events...mainly Colten's school events as he finished Kindergarten (tear). His first year far exceeded our expectations and he excelled in his class and is beyond excited about first grade (he already has his teacher picked out...a cute blonde)!!! His school and teacher were phenomenal and I thoroughly enjoyed serving as one of the room moms, it was quite busy, but so exciting to watch his class mature and bond together. So...here goes...

his work displayed at the art fair

field day...pool toss

hula hooping

flag racing

parachute tossing

cup stacking

basketball shots

frisbee

soccer drills

we did it!!!

We have been to several birthday parties, but one of our favorites was at Kiddie Park...

celebrating Mother's Day (with ALL of my blessings!!!)

The kindergarten classes had a performance for the PTA...

Colten sang at home and practiced his songs, but when it came time to perform he had other ideas. So, he stood on stage and smiled...still looking cute of course !!!

random things...playing in the sprinkler on the trampoline

Cambry getting "fancy" for the day

and sweet Carrys...not to be left out in this post!!!

she is a JOY and the sweetest baby (I'm not at all biased!!!)

4 months old...weighs 16.2 lbs and is 24 in long...in the 90th percentile. You go girl!!!

Being loved on by her big sister...just look at those baby cheeks!!!

She is such a sweetie, is really getting the hang of rolling and has just started to lunge forward to try and sit herself up when in her bouncy seat or car seat. We are about to start cereal this week. Where is the time going?

such a GREAT year!!!

We also enjoyed a trip to Dallas and hanging with Caleb's family and introducing Carrys to Caleb's grandparents. I of course manged to completely forget to take ANY pictures, but we had a wonderful time with them over the Memorial Day weekend. Cambry and Carrys also spent the last days with our phenomenal babysitter Ms. Jen (and daughter Layla)...who we will miss terribly!!!

So, that brings us to summer...family reunions, pool time, time in Llano, birthdays, a trip to Port Aransas and more. Bring it on...we can't wait!!!

Kinder Zoo Trip

The week before Easter Colten's Kindergarten class took a field trip to the zoo. I was privileged to get to tag along (wink, wink)!!! It must have been "take your elementary school to the zoo" day because boy were there a TON of school groups. The five kindergarten classes went from Colten's school and each parent was assigned 3 to 4 kiddos. We teamed up in groups of two, so we had 6 kids all together. They were an EXCITED bunch!! We stayed a total of 4 hours and honestly sat down to eat for all of 20 minutes. Kindergartners have waaaay too much energy, especially when around other kindergartners. I have a whole new respect for you Kinder teachers!!! It was non-stop, but very fun to explore the zoo with our group. Colten's class has been beyond excellent this year!!!

I was completely exhausted by the end of the trip, but it was so much fun to see the zoo through thee eyes of kindergartners! Wish I could remember ALL the comments made, so hilarious...but one that stuck was "WOW look at that big rhino"..."yeah, and look at his big poop"!!! Ill just leave you with that...

(And a BIG thank you to Mom and Dad who came down to make sure the girls had just as much fun that day!!!)
