December events

Last week we planned our "Santa" trip not really knowing what to expect from either child. Colten did not want to see Santa in Llano a few weeks ago during Thanksgiving. He had told me he wanted to wait and see him in San Antonio...so I really did not expect him to do so well. He actually brought a toy catalog with a page marked to show Santa what he wanted most. We got to the line and he walked right up to Santa, showed him exactly what he wanted, explaining it to a tee. It really was precious, such a proud moment for me!!! He then climbed right up and sat on his lap. Cambry was fine with just sitting there until Santa spoke to her. She did fine, well enough to take a few shots and then it was over and she wanted OFF. Luckily...we got a pretty good one.

Caleb's company Christmas party was this past Friday evening. My parents came to town to keep the kids and stay overnight while we stayed at the hotel...woo hoo!!! It was a great evening...it's always fun to get all fancied up!!!

The next morning Caleb and I headed out to finish our shopping for the kiddos. It's been much harder this year, 4 year olds comprehend waaaay too much!!! Luckily we crossed everything off our list and managed to get out of Toys R Us alive!!! Thanks again Mom and Dad, the kids had a great time and so did we!!!

Lastly, one shot from our Christmas picture session. Still lots to do before Christmas is here...Kyndel and Michael's wedding this weekend (YEA!!!), a few more Christmas parties and the list goes on and on. Hope all is merry with all of you!!!

Rewind to Thanksgiving...

Christmas is fast approaching, so I guess it's time to blog about Thanksgiving and what we've been up to. Colten had a fun Thanksgiving feast at school (which I deleted the pictures of)...OOPS!!! We had a great Thanksgiving in Llano this year, several days of family, food and relaxation (despite Caleb working on his final and a project for graduate school). We got to spend alot of time with my family at the ranch AND got a little shopping done at the fun shops in town, much better than the shopping madness here at home!!! Pictures to document...

Thanksgiving morning with Oni and Granden

The BIG kids played outside the entire time it seemed.
Colten and Sheldon...the "bad" guys!!!

Aunt Bitsy had the kids help her with a cute and sweet Thanksgiving poem...

One evening we headed to the Trail of Lights in town...burrrrrr....

The kiddos with the BIG cousins

Cambry and cousin Kyndel

Cambry wanted to walk the ENTIRE trail by herself (with Kalyn and Kristi)

Sittin' on Rudolph at the end...what fun!!!

After Caleb's week of studying and final it was time to deck the halls at our house!!!

Playing outside while Daddy worked, boy was it cold!!!

Putting up the tree

This year's ornaments

And one more note....Cambry has been into doing everything by herself these days. She's been a somewhat difficult eater, but give her her own fork or spoon and the girl can EAT!!! Her new favorite is her OWN bowl with her OWN spoon (yogurt in this case)...and she's content the entire meal.
A BIG thank you to Kyndel for taking family pictures over Thanksgiving, they turned out great!!!
Hope all of your Thanksgivings were blessed and wishing you much love this holiday season!!!
