Celebrations

It's been weeks of celebrating in our household, ending this Friday with Colten's 6th birthday!!! It's always a busy time of the year, but so much fun to celebrate all the wonderful blessings in our family.

after Caleb's birthday dinner at Saltgrass
We decided to have a "family-style" birthday this year for Cambry. Her pick was Dora, so we stuck with the theme and decided on lunch at Rainforest Cafe followed by some "exploring" at the zoo. It fit her just right!!!

opening her new Dora bag with stickers...one happy girl!!!

another present...
Oni, Granden, Chera, Kalyn, Sheldon, Doc & Gram also ate with us

cousins at Rainforest Cafe
finally got a few with me in it this round...

Doc and Gram were gracious enough (ha!!) to take Carrys with them instead of the zoo. It was a lifesaver, it was H-O-T and she would have been miserable!!! But, the rest of us headed out and braved the heat at Cambry's request.

we stopped outside to celebrate with cupcakes!!!

love that sweet girl!!!

the zoo bunch

even Granden and Oni got into the party spirit

the girls posing so well!!!

Cambry spent most of the afternoon in Granden's arms...what a Grandad!!!

lots of breaks to get out of the heat!!!

kiddos with Daddy

what a fun day!!!

Cambry had wanted to go since Colten and I took a trip with his Kindergarten class in the spring. We took lots of pictures to show her, but it just wasn't enough. She was most excited to see an elephant, monkey, zebra and the okapi. She was very pleased and extremely worn out!!!

opening a few more presents

and even a toy for Carrys

and since her "official" birthday was the next day, on Sunday, we saved a few for that morning

ready for church

Thank you to all of you for making Cambry's day extra special. You all mean SO much to her and to us. She is our precious girl...so independent, spunky, quick-witted and so much more!!! She has blessed our lives for 3 amazing years now and we cannot wait to see the person God is molding her to become!!!

celebrating Father's Day too with Doc

the two honorees of the day

We love you so much Daddy/Caleb. You provide us each with boundless love. Your support, care, leadership, nurturing and faith keep us growing and loving one another. WE LOVE YOU!!!

And to Granden and Doc, hope your Father's Day was blessed. We could not have asked for two more loving fathers and grandfathers to be placed in our lives. We love you both!!!

Our start to the summer

Carrys tried cereal for the first time this month and so far is really getting the hang of it and liking it. Not so sure at first, but it got better with each bite. And of course, my personal assistant was there to lend a hand...

We are ALL enjoying the much slower pace of our summer days (not counting the busy weekends) now that school is out. To my surprise, the kiddos have been overall doing great in getting along with one another. They have come up with several different things to play. Rodeo on this day (not sure what happened to Cambry's shorts)...

Carrys has mastered the back to tummy roll and is working diligently on tummy to back. She's already very busy and LOVES to be entertained...

Two weekends ago was our Osbourn family reunion (mom's side), it was fun but HOT!!! We spent the entire weekend on the river and slept in a pop-up trailer my parents rented. All the kids did great, even Carrys despite the heat and different sleeping arrangements.

a little playing in the dirt with cousins

some card playing
Cambry loved playing with Emma
sweet smiles, rosy cheeks and all!!!
Michael and Colten
the newest additions to the clan
love this one of Kalyn and Carrys
One evening we rented the city pool for just our family and completely filled it with everyone. It was a blast to have all the kiddos and parents together. The pool still has a short diving board which was a HUGE hit...especially for "no fear" Colten.

gearing up

and go...

The BIG boys also got in on the action and by the end of the evening the high-dive (which has been turned into a life guard station) was the next challenge. And...oh yes, my boys accepted the challenge and loved every minute of it!!!Cambry was happy just swimming in the big pool with Kristi and Kyndel and then the wading pool with Emma...she's a little fish!!
Carrys got her feet wet, but was highly entertained by all the action. A great one of Oni and Carrys.

And another favorite with Sheldon.

My immediate family (with Ryder on the way)

And extended family...extremely blessed by ALL these people!!!
