New house update...

I know...a house update is long overdue. ALOT has gone on and ALOT of decisions have been made, mostly on the spot!!! Things are moving well and we are well on our way to a late January-early February move in date...hooray!!! As of today, the exterior rock, paint, stain, roof are all complete and looks FABULOUS!!! We have stained and sealed concrete floors inside, insulation is going in all this week, all lighting and plumbing fixtures are on order and/or here, cabinets are soon to be ordered and this week's main goal is interior paint and tile selections (fun fun for me!!!) Lots of juggling, but very rewarding to watch it come together...have a look.

Kids' Praise

This year Colten participated in Kids' Praise at our church. This year's performance was titled "Acorns to Oaks". The kids rehearsed for 10 weeks, on both Wednesday evenings and some Sunday afternoons. Colten was not too enthused in the beginning, but ended up really enjoying the practices and performance. The 1st graders sang many parts to the songs and did a great job!!! Colten and a few 1st grade "buddies" had a special part in the beginning of the show. They dressed as roosters and opened the musical. Singing is definitely not one of his favorite pastimes, especially in front of a crowd, but he did great! We wanted him to participate one year and then after that it was up to him. Caleb also helped with the rehearsals and performance as an assistant to Ms. Sharon. It was a rewarding experience and we ALL now have the "Acorns to Oaks" CD memorized!!!

Halloween 2011

Halloween was great fun this year. We got together with some of our very good friends in our old neighborhood. It was strange, but so familiar to be back with people we have grown so close to. It was a great night. We started off with yummy goodies and food, then got all the kiddos dressed and headed out. There was a great crowd of trick-or-treaters and lots of houses to stop by. The kids had a blast!!! Cambry walked and walked in her Snow White shoes, not complaining once of how uncomfortable she was!!! Colten had a great time with his neighborhood buddies and stocked up on the candy. Carrys just took it all in and went along for the experience!!!

Fall fun!!!

We've had lots of fun so far this fall. We've gone to the pumpkin patch, attended Colten's fall fundraiser at school, gone to Llano for the weekend, played more football games, and Cambry had her fall parade at school. It's been fast and furious so far, but lots of fun as well. With the change in the weather, it definitely feels like fall and we're loving it!!!
