March Madness

Along with the plethora of basketball on TV these days (which is a definite in our household), we have been in full-swing this past month. Caleb and Colten even attended some of the Sweet 16 games last weekend here in SA. And, Caleb and I got a "night out" and watched the Spurs play a few weekends ago. The kiddos are doing great and are loving the start of spring. We have been out almost everyday it seems jumping on the trampoline or riding bikes. We are also feverishly working on our current house in hopes to put it on the market in a few weeks and then begin the building process on our new home. We had a FUN and very RELAXING spring break in Llano, a much needed retreat for us all!!! The Friday before, Colten's class participated in the PTAs Walk-a-Thon.
his class reward time...a HUGE popsicle

The kids and I then headed to Llano the next day while Caleb headed to Austin to attend the high school boys' b-ball tournament, yes more basketball!!! It was quite an adventure to Llano, Colten and Cambry were car-sick in our overly cramped back seat, but luckily Carrys slept the entire way. Needless to say, this momma was glad to get to Llano!!!

Carrys' first trip at 6 weeks

spending some time with Aunt Chera and Papa-O

Cambry couldn't get enough one-on-one time with Granden and made several trips to "check the heifers" with him.

getting friendly with the baby calves

she LOVED driving the truck with Granden

probably why so many trips were made!!!

The boys were pretty much out of sight, but they did catch a baby snake...which they dared and did bring inside!!!

We definitely had a great time!!! The kids needed a change of scenery (especially cooped up Cambry who lives life on the go). It was pure bliss to have many sets of hands so willing to help. Thanks Mom and Dad for hosting all the kiddos and us, it was wonderful!!!

Carrys is now 2 months, WOW!!! We actually had her well check today and she is super long, about 2 in longer than her brother and sister at this age. I'm stumped?! She is 12.8 lbs and 23 in long, putting her in about the 90th percentile for weight and length. Our track star maybe? She is doing fabulously, our pediatrician was very impressed with her head control and alertness. She has become very social, smiling more and more. She loves listening to her siblings, especially Colten's voice...it gets her attention very quickly. She is taking a bottle, hallelujah...which her sister completely refused!!! It has been a HUGE stress relief for me since I started my 3 mornings a week at work last week. She's also sleeping really well and learning to soothe herself, MAJOR milestones in my book!!!

our little ray of sunshine at 2 MONTHS!!!
